Watch some footage from F1 a few decades ago and it's full of oversteer and heroism, as drivers battled titanic mismatches of grip and power, often while inches from their rivals.
F1 - and circuit racing in general - isn't really about that nowadays, with aerodynamics and clever electronics taking a firm grip on the sport. You can find the odd skid in touring car racing, but with the BTCC grid packed with front-drive hatches, it's never of the ‘smoky power oversteer' variety.
Hats off, then, to Alex Wurz - former F1 driver and two-times Le Mans winner - who's got the Lexus RC F way more crossed-up than we could manage, and all around the challenging twists of Ascari race circuit. Let's all breathe a sigh of relief for drivers still making a point of being drift-meisters...
