Remember that 520bhp Audi Clubsport Quattro concept from Worthersee we drove last year? As we told you at the time, it was a toe in the water to see how the world reacted to a potential four-door Audi RS3.
Seems momentum is building for the RS3 saloon, not least from Audi of America, who are ‘optimistic' that a sedan version of that 360bhp hot hatch will land Stateside at some point in the near future.
First drive: the new Audi RS3
Audi UK told TopGear.com that no decision has yet been made to build an RS3 saloon, whether for the States or indeed anywhere in the world. But it wouldn't take a huge leap of faith to imagine one squeezing into Audi's ever-expanding portfolio.
Indeed, the boss of Quattro told TG last year that, depending on the reaction of US and China to the four-door Clubsport concept, an RS3 saloon could hit the model range by early 2016.

Seems the US is on board, then. Now we just need to get the Chinese to say yes. And then hope it comes to the UK. With maybe even a squirt more power from its turbocharged, 2.5-litre five-pot engine. Though, if we're being honest, 362bhp is probably sufficient...
